Luciano Soprani was an Italian fashion designer, born in 1946 in a small agricultural town. Although Soprani studied and worked as a farmer, he soon left to pursue fashion. He worked for Max Mara and eventually designed for the brand for many years. In 1978, he became a freelance designer. He debuted his own line in 1981 and became known for his colorful, well tailored clothing.
